With the seller off to clear up the paperwork issues, Lone and I ran up to downtown Palm Springs to spend a few hours playing tourist.

We ate at a super-highly rated breakfast place in the heart of the tourist district, Pinocchio's.  We weren't that impressed by the food itself, though we did have an excellent outside table on the sidewalk, and the portions were huge - we could have each shared our meal with three other people.

Then we explored the 2-3 block area at the center of town, the Marilyn statue on loan to the town and the Sonny Bono statue.  For those who don't remember, Sonny was the mayor of Palm Springs for a while, then a US Representative from the PS district.

We met the seller back at his place, exchanged the cashier's check for the title, had everything notarized and the seller took off for his bank.  Lone and I made a quick trip to WalMart to pick up a few things for the trip home, and to personalize the coach a little bit.

Later that evening, the seller grilled some steaks for us, and we all ate on the patio poolside, enjoying the balmy evening.
